As we all know, it’s currently a buyers' market here in NYC. Continuing on that theme, let's then talk about what buyer's do in a buyer's market… THEY BUY! Here's why and when you should buy real estate:

No. 1: Opportunity

You take advantage of down prices where your money will get you more home for less. Given the general discounting happening today, it’s safe to say 2021 will present a great opportunity to sell. 

No. 2: Resources

You have the means to purchase the home you want and believe it's a good investment and use of those means. 

No. 3: Investment

And on the topic of investment, buyers want to ensure it's a good allocation of those funds. The market will eventually rebound so you should see long term appreciation of the investment while also having a place to call home  

No. 4: Readiness

Above else, some simple advice: you have to be ready to buy. Buying is a big decision, a big commitment, and a big investment. Be sure now is the right time because you don’t want to have buyer’s remorse after you’ve already purchased the home! Not everyone is prepared to buy and that’s OK, just make sure you are!
